AER Pre-Course Materials
To assist you with preparation leading into a judging course, please review the relevant materials listed below.

All judges will require a copy of the '2018-2020 AER Australian Levels Program'. Please speak to your club to obtain a copy, or if you are a current Technical Member you can download one from Gymnastics Online (GOL).

Advanced Silver Pre-Course Materials

Read through and be familiar with the 2017-2020 FIG Code of Points. Please bring a copy of the CoP with you to the course.

Read and be familiar with the FIG Newsletters 1 2017, 2 2017 and 3 2018. You can access the newsletters here.

Read through the 2018-2021 AER Australian Levels Program Manual. Please bring a copy of the Levels Program with you to the course.

Practice your shorthand: Principles of the Shorthand System

Practice your judging. A set of new code routines from 2017 competitions has been distributed to each State’s Judging Coordinator.

The theory exam will be drawn from questions contained within the question pool located here (Click on EN next to AER COP 2017 Theory Questions Dec 2016) Please note this document does not include the clarifications released at the start of March 2018. This means the answers to some of the questions will need to change.

An online version of the theory questions can be accessed through this document. (Click on a link, click start quiz, click Start without an account, then go for it it.) These tests practice questions from the whole Code of Points whereas the Advanced Silver course will only test part of the questions. Focus on the execution, artistry, CJP and difficulty questions – or just aim to learn everything so you are ready for your FIG brevet exam in three years. (Note, these online tests have not been updated to the 2018 clarifications.)
